UFC veteran Tito Ortiz opens up on healing experience with BPC-157 Peptide

UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz is turning heads not just for his legendary combat career, but for his remarkably youthful appearance at an age when most fighters show the wear of decades in the cage.

During a recent appearance on the JAXXON Podcast alongside fellow MMA pioneer Frank Shamrock and host Rampage Jackson, the five-time UFC Light Heavyweight Champion revealed one of his secrets: peptides and biohacking.

“I’ve never seen a guy at your age look like he’s 21,” co-host Bear Degidio remarked. The observation wasn’t an exaggeration.

Ortiz, who endured a 25-year combat  career that included eight surgeries and two near-paralysis incidents, credits modern recovery methods for his transformation.

When pressed about his age-defying appearance, Ortiz pointed to his recent foray into biohacking over the last two years. “This whole biohacking thing that I’ve been doing over the last two years now, this stuff is some gamechanging s**t,” Ortiz explained.

He specifically mentioned BPC-157, a peptide that has gained popularity among athletes for its purported healing properties.

“BPC-157,” Ortiz confirmed when asked about the specific peptide he’s been using. The compound, often referred to as the “Wolverine peptide” in athletic circles, has become something of a wonder among those seeking accelerated recovery.

“It makes you heal at a high level. Like the recovery…,” host Degidio confirmed, emphasizing how dramatically it has affected his physical condition.

The former champion also discussed undergoing stem cell treatments as part of his comprehensive recovery regimen. Most remarkably, Ortiz noted that these treatments have eliminated chronic pain that plagued him throughout his career. “I wrestle now and I weight train. I have no more pains in my neck anymore,” he said.

Rampage Jackson expressed immediate interest in the peptide after hearing Ortiz’s testimonial. “I need that, bro. I need that,” Jackson said, recognizing the potential benefits for his own body after years of combat sports competition.

Frank Shamrock, who was instrumental in training Ortiz early in his career, admitted he hadn’t yet tried peptides himself but acknowledged their growing reputation.

Beyond peptides, Ortiz maintains a rigorous lifestyle that includes coaching high school wrestling in Cape Coral, Florida, where he works with his twin sons. He also owns Tito’s Cantina, a restaurant where he maintains an unconventional schedule—sleeping from midnight until noon and coaching during the day.
