UFC vet Ben Rothwell demolishes opponent in Gladiator shorts BKFC debut

BKFC had been making it into the news thanks to odd viral incidents as of late. But for once, it was a marquee performance from one of the athletes that left the audiences at home mouth agape.

UFC veteran Ben Rothwell made his BKFC debut last night at BKFC 30 held at Fant-Ewing Coliseum in Monroe, La.

Rothwell showed up in memorable gladiator shorts and pretty much blasted his opposition Bobo O’Bannon from the get go.

Rothwell was outspoken about his intentions to become a BKFC champion and did just that in impressive 19 seconds.

With the opening bell, Rothwell blasted forward firing combinations at O’Bannon who tried to match Rothwell’s intensity but to no avail. He left himself open for a right and then a vicious uppercut that sent him tumbling to the floor at which point he was unable to get up after a 10 count.

Rothwell was impressive in MMA. His career consisted of 39 wins and 14 losses. He was released after a loss to Marcos Rogerio de Lima in 2021. 28 of his wins came by way of submission.

During the UFC 145 event, Schaub went toe to toe with Ben Rothwell and got viciously knocked out. In the immediate aftermath of the knock out he proceeded to pummel the air above himself -clearly out of it. And this infamous moments somehow made it to the UFC game.
