UFC Vegas 51 – Drakkar Klose flatlines Jenkins

It’s been two years since we’ve seen Drakkar Klose in the octagon. However, despite the long layoff, Klose hasn’t missed a step. Klose faced Brandon Jenkins in a lightweight contest during the preliminary card of UFC Vegas 51.

As soon as the bout started, Klose put Jenkins through an ordeal. Drakkar was able to keep Jenkins with his back against the cage as he punished him with hard shots. The punishment in the first round was so much that Jenkins nearly got knocked down several times.

Klose started the second round continuing right where he picked off. It wouldn’t take much for him to finish Jenkins.

Klose landed a hard uppercut that ended Jenkins stumbling, then the referee called the fight as Klose was throwing a flurry of strikes.

Drakar was supposed to be back in action earlier. The fighter was scheduled to face Jeremy Stephens at UFC on ESPN 22 on April 17, 2021. However, the fight was canceled after Stephens shoved him at the weigh-in. The shove injured Klose’s neck and took him almost a year to recover.

After 7 UFC fights, the Jenkins KO was the first finish Klose had in the organization.

Right after the fight, Klose called out Olympic wrestler Mike Madsen. Madsen is undefeated as a professional fighter, and a win over him could mean a move into the top 15 rankings at lightweight for Klose.
