UFC Star Conor McGregor Eyes Potential OnlyFans Acquisition

UFC superstar Conor McGregor has claimed he is in “serious talks” to purchase the popular subscription-based platform OnlyFans.

The Irish mixed martial arts champion took to Instagram on Friday to announce his potential business move after news broke that OnlyFans’ current owner, Fenix International Ltd, is negotiating a sale of the company.

“Conor McGregor says he’s in talks to potentially buy OnlyFans, per his IG,” reported MMA journalist Damon Martin on social media.

According to Reuters, Fenix International Ltd is currently in discussions with an investor group led by Forest Road Company, a Los Angeles-based investment firm. The potential deal reportedly values OnlyFans at approximately $8 billion, according to three sources familiar with the matter.

The platform’s owner is reportedly seeking between $1.46 billion and $2.42 billion but is facing challenges finding buyers due to the company’s revenue model, which relies heavily on adult content.

An OnlyFans spokeswoman provided a statement to the New York Post regarding the rumored sale: “OnlyFans is a revolutionary platform which continues to lead the creator economy. As with any business of this scale it is natural that we are open to discussions about how we continue to build on our success.”

It remains unclear whether McGregor is working directly with Forest Road Company in their acquisition efforts or if he is part of a separate investment group pursuing the purchase.

McGregor, known for his entrepreneurial ventures outside the octagon, including his successful Proper No. Twelve Irish brand, appears to be expanding his business portfolio with this potential high-profile acquisition.
