Alexa Grasso just had the best performance of her career.
The Mexican fighter faced UFC veteran Joanne Calderwood in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 205. And she surely worse up to the occasion during the fight.
After a slow-paced start of the round, Grasso picked things up as she was able to take the fight to the ground after Joanne threw a spinning elbow that missed her.
From there Grasso showcased that she is not only a skilled striker but also a good grappler as well. Grasso locked in the rear-naked choke and forced Joanne Calderwood to tap.

With that victory, Grasso shows that her move to flyweight was the best thing she could have done. After a mediocre run as a UFC strawweight, Grasso moved up in weight and is now on a 3-fight winning streak. She was ranked number 9 in the world before the fight and is expected to move up in the rankings after her submission victory.
