UFC fans roast Covington After Trump Picks Khabib as His Favorite

Colby Covington is a staunch supporter of former US President Donald Trump as far back as 2019, so much so that he has built his persona around being a “Trumper for life.” However, Covington’s fans were in for a surprise when Trump recently named Dagestan’s Khabib Nurmagomedov as his favorite UFC star.

The internet did not hold back in trolling Covington, with fans predicting that he would be devastated by Trump’s choice. One fan poked fun at Covington, claiming that he might be rethinking all his life choices right now. Another fan believes that “Chaos” will be at home “ripping his headset apart” after listening to what the former president had to say.

Despite Covington’s close ties with Trump, some fans believe that he will still call himself the former president’s favorite fighter. Others predict that the UFC welterweight will be “punching the air” to release his frustration.

The trolling didn’t stop there. One fan believes that Covington will slip into depression after this incident, while another claims that he has lost the one thing he could call his own in the UFC.

During an interview on Submission Radio, former interim welterweight champion Colby Covington harshly criticized Belal Muhammad, expressing sympathy for fans missing out on a high-level fight. Covington labeled Muhammad derogatorily, accusing him of avoiding a fight unless Covington was already committed to a title bout. He claimed he would defeat Muhammad if they fought and criticized Muhammad’s wrestling and striking abilities.

Covington also accused Muhammad of using performance-enhancing drugs and predicted his title reign would be short. Muhammad responded mockingly on social media. Covington, currently ranked #4 welterweight, hinted at a future fight with Shavkat Rakhmonov, downplaying Rakhmonov’s skills despite his undefeated record.
