The Georgian-Spanish superstar, who has rapidly risen to prominence in the UFC, appears in a new teaser for the highly anticipated television series. The collaboration showcases Topuria’s signature intense gaze, familiar to fans who have watched his performances in the octagon.
The partnership with the $54 billion franchise demonstrates Topuria’s growing mainstream appeal following his impressive victory over Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298, where he claimed the featherweight title, followed by a decisive win against Max Holloway.
In a recent development, UFC CEO Dana White announced that Topuria has vacated his featherweight belt due to weight management considerations and will transition to the lightweight division. This move has generated significant buzz within the sporting community, with former title challenger Justin Gaethje offering his support.
“I think he’s a fighter. Especially with the confidence that he has right now… So yeah, I think it just made the most exciting weight class in this sport a little bit more exciting,” Gaethje remarked about Topuria’s division change.
