Adesanya carried an urn to the cage as he paid homage to WWE legend The Undertaker in dramatic entrance scored with his song.
Israel Adesanya is nothing if not strategic. Adesanya came out measured but offensive against Canonier. Canonier’s game is flawed but he does posses the one punch knock out power which made Adesanya apprehensive.
Cannonier’s right eye had started to swell up by the third round – in part due to an eye poke from Adesanya. Adesanya outstruck Cannonier in all but one round and even that one was close. Adesanya was content to coast through the last five minutes ultimately scoring a decision victory.
