Brunson came off strong against Jared Cannonier in Round 1. He even had a decent shot to submit Cannonier but the clock ran out on him.
Everything changed in round 2 – with Brunson visibly gassed Cannonier started throwing heavy elbows and rendered Brunson unresponsive before he even hit the mat.
Once Brunson hit the mat he tried to recompose himself however with Cannonier in a dominant position it wasn’t possible. The corner even threw the towel just as the ref cut in to end the heavy elbows Brunson was getting slugged with.
