Tyson Fury’s Manager Denies Zuffa Boxing Signing Despite UFC White House Spotlight

Tyson Fury’s manager, Spencer Brown, has pushed back against speculation that the former heavyweight champion has signed a deal with Zuffa Boxing. Speaking to iFL TV, Brown was unequivocal when addressing the rumors.

“I can categorically tell you that we haven’t signed any deals with Zuffa. Nothing’s changed. There’s no change,” Brown said.

While dismissing the reports, Brown acknowledged Dana White’s influence and ability to generate headlines.

“Dana White is a very clever individual. He’s a very clever man,” Brown said. “You don’t get where you got not being clever.”

He continued by praising White’s profile within combat sports.

“Not only that, he’s got a presence about him and he’s one of the most recognizable men in the world now in combat sport, boxing, whatever you want to say,” Brown said. “So you know, he’s very clever with what he said.”

Brown also pointed to the existing agreement surrounding a potential Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua match, emphasizing that the framework already involves Turki Alalshikh, Netflix, and Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn.

“We are in a fig ht against Anthony Joshua which Turki Alalshikh and Netflix are doing,” Brown said. “Whether things change, I don’t know.”

He then referenced Hearn’s recent comments on the matter.

“And the statement Eddie Hearn put out was correct,” Brown said. “So you know, would Eddie lie about something like that because he was behind signing the contract? He’s got the contract in front of him.”

Brown also addressed the remarks Fury made during the White House event, where the heavyweight star said he would leave any announcement to Dana White. According to Brown, those comments were taken out of context.

“He didn’t say there was an announcement,” Brown said. “He said, ‘I will leave the announcement to Dana White, whatever he announces.'”

Brown argued that Fury’s words were intentionally broad and open to interpretation.

He stated, “Is that very open-ended or not? Very open-ended and anybody can misconstrue anything. You’re dealing with very clever people here.”

When asked whether Fury’s statement may have simply been designed to create buzz, Brown admitted he could not speak to Fury’s intentions.

“I don’t know what it could have been for,” Brown said. “All I can tell you in all honesty is that we are in the same position we were.”

He again stressed Alalshikh’s central role in making the matchup happen.

“Turki Alalshikh is promoting this match. He’s the person behind the whole matchup,” Brown said. “He’s the one who suggested it. He’s the one who put it all together.”

Brown also discussed Fury’s Instagram post alongside Alalshikh, insisting it was simply an effort to address the growing speculation.

“He was just being truthful,” Brown said. “He’s not been told to say that by anybody.”

According to Brown, Fury decided to respond after hearing about the rumors circulating online.

“He put that out because the speculation spoke to many different people and he’d been advised of what had been said on the internet,” Brown said. “And he just said, ‘I’ll put a stop to this and I’ll tell you the truth.’ And that’s what he did.”

Near the end of the interview, the host noted that Dana White had claimed a Fury-related announcement would be coming “very shortly.” Brown, however, said he had no knowledge of any such development.

“We don’t know anything,” Brown said. “I spoke to Tyson this morning. He doesn’t know anything.”

Brown then joked that perhaps others were working with information he and Fury did not have.

“So maybe they probably know something that we don’t,” he said. “I haven’t got a clue.”
