Tyson Fury says brother Tommy will have be Ronaldo’s personal trainer if he loses to Jake Paul

There’s been a lot of talk about various challenges tied to Jake Paul boxing bouts. Paul has always layered on extra bets in order to make for an even more compelling experience for fans that are just getting into boxing.

One of the interesting challenges was for Tommy Fury to give up his famous last name, if he loses to a youtuber turned pro boxer.

Tommy’s big brother Tyson, seems to have no issue with the challenge and has even amped it up claiming Tommy should just stay in Saudi Arabia if something like that happens.

On February 26 in Riyadh, Tommy Fury and Paul will finally settle their feud. Tommy has already been warned that if he loses to the boxer-turned-YouTuber, he would have to retire and change his name.

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson then made a joke, telling dailymail:

“I have told Tommy that if he loses he has to stay over in Saudi and become Ronaldo’s personal trainer. He agreed. He will have to spend his losers purse on a nice little flat out in Saudi and look after Ronnie.”

Despite his history in boxing, some bookmakers see Fury as the underdog. On the other hand, Paul has just been a professional for three years. Also, he hasn’t yet faced a notable boxer.

Tyson said:

“Tommy has been around boxing his whole life, since he was seven or eight years old. He has always boxed has been around training camp after training camp. We turned him over young, after 12 amateur fights and he has been training and fighting ever since.”

Tyson added: “Tommy is his own person so he has to do his own thing. My dad has trained him and advised him… the only things he asks me for advice on are: trash talk, marriage and rearing kids.”

Just four weeks before the event, Tommy and his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague announced the birth of their first child.

Tyson recalled: “When my first baby Venezuela was born I was actually boxing on the same night in Dublin. She arrived early and obviously I got an awful lot of earache for it on the day and forever. You miss one birth and that’s it – you’re done for.”

“But Tommy is getting paid well and lots of people have to miss out on family things for their work.”

In fact, Tommy’s profits considerably exceed his ring accomplishments because of his transition to influencer boxing and his own status as a participant on ‘Love Island’.
