Tristan Tate questions if UFC champion Tom Aspinall would be capable of beating Putin’s Presidential security team

In a thought-provoking discussion on X, Tristan Tate, brother of Andrew Tate, offered his perspective on how UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall might fare against the elite security personnel protecting world leaders like Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping.

The conversation began when a popular social media account shared footage of security teams for both Putin and Jinping exchanging subtle head nods. Tate advised against any confrontation with these highly-trained professionals.

When a social media user suggested that Aspinall, known for his knockout power, could overcome both guards simultaneously, Tate strongly disagreed.

“With respect to Aspinall, I wouldn’t bet on that, not at all. These guys won’t strike or go for submissions. Throat/Groin/Eyes… They’re trained killers not trained fighters… [Do] you think they train less than him? You think they aren’t constantly drilling and perfecting kill techniques? No! These are not the overweight nightclub heavies that ‘bodyguard celebrities’. They are an entirely different class of human,” Tate explained.

Aspinall’s credentials in the UFC are impressive, with an 8-1 record (15-3 overall) including seven first-round knockout victories. He currently holds the record for shortest average fight time in UFC history at 2 minutes and 2 seconds, and ranks second in knockdowns per 15 minutes with 4.09.

Meanwhile, speculation continues about a potential matchup between Aspinall and UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones. Jones, who dominated the light heavyweight division for over fifteen years, captured the heavyweight title by defeating Ciryl Gane at UFC 285 and successfully defended it against Stipe Miocic at UFC 309.

While rumors circulated about Jones potentially avoiding a clash with Aspinall, UFC CEO Dana White recently addressed the situation during an Instagram Live session. Responding to a fan’s concern about never seeing the match, White stated: “Yes you will. It’s coming. Relax!”
