Mike Jackson is arguably UFC’s worst athlete. Jackson was signed to the promotion in an attempt to get a suitable opponent for pro wrestler CM Punk after his debut ended in a one sided 20 second beating.
He’s since been making waves on social media using loaded terms like ‘white fragility’ and trolling MMA veteran turned right wing influencer Jake Shields.
The two first confronted each other in August. But things hit a new level once Jake Shields and Mike Jackson saw each other at the UFC Performance Institute. There they had a physical confrontation Shields shared on social media.
While the video is a whole lot of nothing, Shields insists it has made him into a star. Meanwhile Jackson confirmed that he’s pressing charges against Shields.
But another Jake Shields foe was waiting on the side lines and delivered a poignant criticism of the now viral video – Alana McLaughlin.
McLaughlin made her MMA debut last year against Celine Provost at Combate Global. McLaughlin is a former soldier and has since transitioned to female.
Shields was a vocal critic.
Alana escalated from there and went on to criticize Shields’ performance in the incident.
And then went on to share a unique challenge in the style of Dillon Danis:
While Shields is retired and on his way to becoming a full time influencer, McLaughlin is struggling to find a new opponent. According to her own social media, there’s been some interest but nothing concrete has been announced yet.
