Since then he has stated that he would like to return to MMA and was angling for one last retirement bout and even tried to get back in UFC’s good graces.

Like many current and former mixed martial artists, Tito Oritz has addressed the possibility of facing celebrity boxer turned pro – Jake Paul.

Recently he sat down to talk with a  podcast. There, Oritz confirmed that he would ‘love’ to box the former Youtube star.

“I would love to,” Ortiz proclaimed.

“That’d be amazing. That would be fun. Once again, I have an 0-1 record, he has a [5-0] record.”

“ I still feel like I’m an amateur in boxing. I do a lot in mixed martial arts, but I still feel myself as an amateur but I’m competitive. I’m very competitive.”

Jake Paul has gained notable fame in the boxing industry. With winning matchups and racking up knockout wins over the likes of MMA champions like Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley, he has arguably become the hottest ticket in the boxing industry.

Since then, he has also become a target with many notable names either calling him out or expressing interest in a matchup, Oritz being one of them.

As for Jake Paul, he still remains undefeated. In addition to Tito Ortiz, his longtime competitive rival Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell has also expressed interest in boxing Paul.

Ortiz has been angling for a new clash ever since his political hopes were dashed when he was forced to resign Huntington Beach city council in disgrace.
