Syko Stu released from hospital after viral Raja Jackson incident

Professional wrestler Stuart Smith (also known as Syko Stu) has finally returned home after spending over a week hospitalized following an assault that surprised the entire wrestling community.

Smith was brutally attacked by Raja Jackson, son of MMA legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, during what was supposed to be a routine independent wrestling event. The incident, captured on video and widely circulated online, showed the 25-year-old Jackson storming the ring from his front-row seat and launching an unprovoked assault on the performer.

In a joint statement released on Instagram with Contessa Patterson, who appears to be Smith’s wife, the wrestler provided an update on his condition and detailed the extensive injuries he sustained. The couple shared a photo of Smith smiling as they announced his release from medical care.

“Stuart has been released from the hospital and is now home resting. He sustained a serious head injury and was unconscious upon arrival at the ER. His injuries include trauma to both the upper and lower jaws, a laceration to his upper lip, and a fracture to the maxilla bone, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of several teeth,” the statement revealed.

Despite the severity of his injuries, Smith’s family expressed optimism about his recovery. “He has a long road of recovery ahead, but he remains in good spirits despite everything he has been through,” they shared.

The terrifying footage from the incident shows Jackson suddenly leaping into the ring, lifting Smith above his head, and slamming him to the canvas before delivering multiple punches to his motionless opponent. The attack was completely unscripted and caught everyone by surprise, with approximately six people eventually intervening to stop the assault.

After fleeing the scene, Jackson was recorded on video attempting to justify his actions, claiming he was tired of people disrespecting him. “I’m tired of motherf***ers playing with me bro. Real sh**,” he said while blood was visible on his white T-shirt. “I’m tired of everybody f***ing playing with me and sh**. Think I’m always playing and sh**, calling me b**** and sh**… I’m not no f***ing b****, bro.”

In another video that surfaced, Jackson can be heard taking a phone call from someone named Andre, who criticized his extreme response. When Andre mentioned that Smith had been “flatlined” in the ring, Jackson defended his actions by saying Smith had “p***ed me off.”

The incident has had far-reaching consequences beyond Smith’s injuries. According to reports, WWE has severed ties with the promotion that hosted the event, and KnoxX Pro’s wrestling school is experiencing a significant exodus of students. The state of California is reportedly preparing to take over the investigation into Jackson’s assault.

Smith and Patterson expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming support they’ve received during this difficult time. “We are deeply grateful for all the love and support we’ve received during this time. Thank you to everyone who has contributed in any way – whether through monetary donations, food, flowers, or gifts. Your kindness means more than words can express. From the bottom of my heart, thank you,” they wrote.

Former UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has publicly apologized for his son’s actions on social media, acknowledging the severity of the situation and the harm caused to Smith.
