Streetfighter boasts of ‘Supernatural’ abilities to deadpan Mighty Mouse response

Amateur brawler Maraji Johnson, who goes by the menacing moniker “Death Sentence,” recently trained with MMA legend Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson, leading to some of the most entertainingly deadpan reactions ever caught on camera.

Death Sentence, a 22-year-old brawler from Spartanburg, South Carolina, claims to possess “supernatural” abilities including ninja teleportation, which he describes as “slapping opponents in the face and while they’re temporarily blinded, I move to one spot from another spot.”

Johnson, a former UFC Flyweight Champion known for his technical precision and no-nonsense approach to MMA, maintained remarkable composure as Death Sentence explained his unorthodox training methods, which include emulating Batman’s moves from video games and practicing “teleportation” techniques.

“I use this style from Batman, Vegeta, and I am a ruthless martial artist,” Death Sentence explained to Mighty Mouse with complete seriousness, to which Johnson responded with stoic professionalism that barely concealed his bewilderment.

When reviewing Death Sentence’s previous bouts in Street Beefs (an amateur backyard organization), Johnson pointed out fundamental flaws in his technique, particularly his habit of rushing across the cage and his lack of ground game awareness.

“You claim to be this amazing striker. If you’re a striker, you’re closing this distance. The void is your friend when you want to be a striker because you don’t want the fight to go to the ground,” Johnson noted with characteristic precision.

Despite his 0-3 record in StreetBeefs competitions, Death Sentence maintains unwavering confidence in his abilities, claiming he’s “undefeated in the streets” with “over 100” backyard brawls under his belt.

The training sessions revealed a surprising dynamic between the two – Johnson’s patient mentorship contrasting with Death Sentence’s enthusiastic but misguided approach to combat sports. By the end of their time together, Johnson acknowledged, “I have my work cut out for me,” while still providing technical guidance to help the aspiring star prepare for his upcoming bout against “Death Penalty” in May.

Whether Death Sentence’s supernatural abilities will manifest in his next fight remains to be seen, but his training with Mighty Mouse has certainly delivered one of the most entertaining martial arts odd couples in recent memory.
