The world of live streaming has descended into increasingly dangerous territory, with content creators pushing boundaries to extremes in pursuit of views and donations. A recent incident involving a streamer known as “Angry Korean Gamer” has highlighted just how far some are willing to go for online attention.
During a recent livestream, the Korean content creator and his associates nearly killed a friend after apparently reaching a donation goal or receiving a specific donation request. The disturbing footage shows the streamer instructing his friends to place another person in a chokehold while suspended from a chair, maintaining the dangerous position for approximately 30 seconds.
One of Angry Korean Gamer’s associates locks a shirtless man, standing before the camera, into a chokehold as a countdown timer runs on screen.
With each passing second, the grip tightens, leaving the man gasping for air. He struggles, taps out desperately, and appears increasingly breathless. Yet, the hold isn’t released until just before the timer expires—by which point the man has already gone limp.
The victim lost consciousness and began convulsing on the floor while the associates initially responded with laughter rather than concern. Only after realizing the severity of the situation did some attempt to check on the unconscious individual, while the streamer continued finding the situation amusing.
The practice of choking someone to unconsciousness, particularly while suspended, poses serious risks including brain damage and airway injury.
The Angry Korean Gamer has a history of extreme behavior, having gained notoriety for violent reactions during gaming sessions and public disturbances. His frequent bans from major platforms indicate a pattern of problematic content, yet he continues finding ways to stream his dangerous antics.
