Streamer N3on on Sean Strickland: He called me a dirty Indian

During a casual breakfast outing in Perth, Australia, streamer N3on and UFC welterweight contender Jack Della Maddalena shared their experiences with controversial UFC star Sean Strickland, revealing tense encounters that highlighted Strickland’s abrasive personality.

During the livestream, the conversation turned to Strickland after N3on brought up the recent incident between Strickland and fellow content creator Sneako during a sparring session.

“Did you see like Sean Strickland and Sneako?” N3on asked, to which Della Maddalena responded, “Yeah, that was crazy, bro. He went crazy on him.”

N3on then revealed his own uncomfortable interaction with the former UFC middleweight champion. “I talked to him on the phone. He called me a dirty Indian,” N3on stated plainly. When asked to elaborate, he confirmed, “That’s what he called me. So, I don’t know. I don’t think he likes me.”

Della Maddalena didn’t seem surprised by the revelation, responding with a knowing acknowledgment. “No, he’s a bit nasty, I reckon,” the Australian star said, characterizing Strickland’s demeanor with the understated assessment that “he’s a crazy guy.”

The discussion came as the two were enjoying traditional Australian breakfast at a Perth cafe, where they bonded over various topics including mixed martial arts, music preferences, and N3on’s experiences traveling through Australia.

Strickland has built a reputation in the UFC for his unfiltered comments and confrontational style both inside and outside the octagon.

Later during the stream, N3on asked Maddalena who he would favor in a potential showdown between Makhachev and featherweight champion Ilia Topuria. Della Maddalena leaned towards the Makhachev, citing size and physicality as decisive factors.

“Man, I don’t know. I think Islam,” he said. “Ilia is good. I just reckon the size would be a lot.”

N3on noted that Makhachev has been bulking up, joking that the champion had started taking creatine. Della Maddalena agreed, adding, “Yeah, he [Islam] looked big.”

Still, he acknowledged the danger Topuria would bring if the fight stayed standing. “Ilia is a heavy puncher. If he can keep it on the feet and land punches, it’d be a good fight. It needs to happen.”
