Looksmaxxing influencer Androgenic has made an unexpected turn toward transparency, debuting what appears to be a genuine post-transplant hairline during a recent broadcast. This was weeks after a pair of very public embarrassments surrounding his hair.
The 25-year-old first made headlines in February 2026 when someone knocked his hairpiece off during a live appearance, revealing what observers identified as a Norwood Level 3 hair loss pattern.
Rather than come clean in the moment, Androgenic attempted to downplay the situation. “I just got a hair transplant, bro. All right,” he said on camera as the clip rapidly spread across social media.
The exposure was controversial given his standing in the looksmaxxing community, an online subculture built around optimizing physical appearance. Androgenic had spent considerable time rating and commenting on other people’s looks, which made the revelation feel especially pointed.
Content creator TsjGetEm was among the first to call out the contradiction. “You talk about other people. You laugh at other people for the way they look, but you’re over here frauding with a wig on as a grown man,” TsjGetEm said in his breakdown of the viral clip.
The fallout continued just days later when a fan approached Androgenic during another broadcast in what began as a friendly handshake and hug. The moment soured quickly when the fan started rubbing a hand across Androgenic’s head, disrupting the hair spray the influencer had applied to his scalp.
Androgenic pulled the fan’s head away in response, visibly irritated, but the fan seemed unbothered, making exaggerated faces and dancing mockingly in front of the camera.
Now, weeks after from those incidents, the reception from viewers appears notably warmer. In the recent broadcast, Androgenic appeared without any hairpiece, showing what looked like early transplant growth.
His chat filled with encouraging remarks, with viewers calling it “looking kind of clean” and noting it was “way better without the wig” and “coming along.”
One viewer offered a simple “W Andrew,” a common expression of approval in online spaces. Androgenic himself seemed cautiously optimistic. “Yeah, I think it’s looking a bit better,” he told his audience.
When a viewer asked whether he had begun using PP405, a product commonly associated with hair regrowth, Androgenic confirmed he had.
“Yep, started using it. We’ll see how the results go,” he said.
