Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland has sparked intense controversy on social media platform X with a series of inflammatory posts targeting the transgender community.
Strickland, known for his unfiltered communication style, shared several contentious messages expressing his views about transgender individuals. In one particularly pointed post, he wrote: “Its so odd when I get attacked by the ‘trans community.’ You cut your c**k off and got implants and I’m suppose to be offended by what you call me. I’m just wondering how society hasn’t put you in a mental institution yet… I make fun of you and you cut your c**k off lmao.”

The professional athlete didn’t stop there. In another message, he addressed transgender individuals in politics, stating: “Could you picture someone waking up saying: ‘I think im going to cut my ck off today, grow my hair out, get breast implants, take d*ugs so I sound like a c***kless man and then I’m going to run for f**king congress and I’m going to win.’ My god Russia send the nukes it’s time.”
His posts quickly gained traction across social media platforms, igniting heated discussions about freedom of expression, social responsibility, and the role of public figures in sensitive societal debates.
Looking ahead, Strickland is scheduled to face Dricus Du Plessis for the middleweight title at UFC 312 in Sydney, Australia, on February 8.
The controversial statements have added another chapter to Strickland’s history of making headlines for his outspoken views on various social issues, often leading to widespread debate and discussion within the MMA community and beyond.
