Said Nurmagomedov Is Accusing Sean O’Malley Of Ducking Him

Nurmagomedov has taken to Twitter to provoke fellow bantamweight – UFC fighter Sean O’Malley.

According to Said, O’Malley has ducked him twice already, and it is his desire to stop the hype surrounding the American Fighter.

Nurmagomedov also called O’Malley a “coward” for ignoring his fight offers and then proceeded to show a screenshot of a conversation between Said’s manager Ali Abdelaziz and the UFC matchmaking team about a fight offer for O’Malley.

Both fighters are coming off of very noticeable victories that earned both the “performance of the night” bonus.

Sean has made quick work of Raulian Paiva in UFC 269 by stopping the Brazilian in the first round.

And Said Nurmagomedov got off of a 22-month layoff to submit Cody Stamman in just 47 seconds of the first round, at UFC 270.

However, Said’s plans might be postponed because due to an injury, O’Malley might be out until July.

After his victory in UFC 269, the American fighter shared that he would like to be back as soon as possible.

According to O’Malley in his podcast, he suffered a fractured thumb in his fight against Raulio Paiva, and for that reason, he will have to sit out for a couple of months.

“I can’t fight March 5, it’s too soon. I don’t think they’re having a Vegas card in April, in May. I might not fight for a while. If I don’t fight until June or July, it just gives me time to get better and improve. I haven’t been able to train since my fight. I’ve had a fu**ing fractured thumb since my fight.”

MMA Personality and former fighter Chael Sonnen weighed in on the Nurmagomedov’s trash-talk on his YouTube channel, stating (as per BJPenn.com):

“I don’t challenge that fact. I didn’t call Sean and ask him ‘hey were you offered this guy?’. I’m not adding credibility to this, or stating this is the way it happened. But this is what was said, and after I read it, It might have. It doesn’t sound like Sean O’Malley would turn down a fight, but this is what it was designed to do, was to try and embarrass Sean. Which is a real schoolyard tactic.”
