Reality star who faced Mayweather tapped as potential opponent for Jake Paul’s MMA debut

Former Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers is currently engaged in negotiations to become the next opponent for YouTube sensation Jake Paul in an upcoming matches.

Chalmers recently went head-to-head with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition match held at The O2 Arena earlier this year. Despite going the full eight rounds, the match concluded without a declared winner. This left many spectators disappointed with the outcome.

On the other hand, Jake Paul faced off against Tommy Fury in a highly anticipated bout that took place in Saudi Arabia. The match also went the distance, and saw Fury emerge as the victor through a split decision.

Now it appears that they might soon cross paths in the ring. Recently, Chalmers has been in discussions with the PFL regarding a potential two-bout series against Paul.

Paul is already scheduled to make his PFL debut next year, and Chalmers has suggested that the two matches between them should be divided between the cage and the boxing ring.

In an interview with SunSport, Chalmers revealed: “We were talking. It’s kind of dried up at the moment because I was trying to double up and get a crossover, as in Jake in boxing and in MMA. He’s obviously getting his way in the boxing and I’m a bit more experienced in MMA.”

“It would make sense for something like that and I would definitely go back to it. There’s a lot of hurdles to overcome, Jake’s right up there in the mix, he’s quite a big name. So I feel like a few wins under my belt in the next few months would hopefully push us back up that ladder.”

Should the negotiations come to fruition, it promises to be an electrifying event that could captivate both MMA and boxing enthusiasts alike. The possibility of these two crossing paths creates an air of anticipation, leaving fans speculating about the outcome of such an intriguing contest.
