Rampage Jackson wants oblique kicks banned, says Jon Jones is the ‘dirtiest’ MMA pro ever

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Rampage Jackson has attacked Jon Jones, a fellow former 205-pound champion. He called Jones the dirtiest mixed martial artist of all time. Jones will be competing for the heavyweight belt in the near future.

Rampage lost an undisputed title match versus Jones in the fourth round of UFC 135 back in 2011.

Additionally, Rampage lost his last professional bout under the Bellator MMA banner against Fedor Emelianenko in Japan back in December 2019. He hasn’t competed in mixed martial arts since.

On March 5, former two-time undisputed light heavyweight champion Jones will make his heavyweight division debut against Ciryl Gane, a previous interim champion. The pair will compete for the vacant heavyweight title.

 

Jones has received criticism from multiple opponents for often fouling them.A Additionally, Rampage, has recently slammed Jones by calling him the dirtiest fighter in mixed martial arts.

Rampage Jackson stated about Jon Jones in an interview with Chris Van Vliet,

“Jon Jones is a great fighter. Even if he was standing in this room I would say it, but he is the dirtiest fighter ever. The guy is so smart. He does the most dirtiest things.”

“If you’re doing anything good on him, he’s going to poke you in the eye. If you’re advancing or doing anything good or you get the advantage, he’s going to kick your knee backwards.”

Rampage Jackson said that he intends to compete in a few more fights before calling it a career. He said, “I’d like to do some grudge matches, since I’m old and stuff. There’s a couple guys I owe some *ss-kickings to. For one, Wanderlei (Silva).”

“Then Marvin Eastman, I owe him a rubber match. We’re 1-1. And a guy from TUF, Darrill Schoonover. The guy I gave the nickname ‘T*tties.’ He hates me.”
