President Donald Trump made an appearance at UFC 314 and accidentally snubbed Curb your enthusiasm actress

In what has become a familiar sight at major UFC events, President Donald Trump made a grand entrance at UFC 314, receiving a standing ovation as he was escorted to his seat by UFC CEO Dana White. The appearance, however, has garnered attention for an unexpected moment involving “Curb Your Enthusiasm” actress Cheryl Hines.

Trump, known for his love of mixed martial arts, was greeted enthusiastically by the crowd at the event. As one commentator noted during the broadcast, “He always gets a walk-out. It’s like a prerequisite for him coming. People love it.”

The president’s passion for the sport was highlighted by commentators on air who mentioned, “What he loves is mixed martial arts. He talks about watching these () nights when he is not in the building.”

The awkward moment occurred when Trump approached his Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. and his wife, actress Cheryl Hines. Video footage of the interaction shows Hines standing next to her husband with her hand extended as Trump approached. While the President gave Kennedy a hearty handshake, he appeared to completely overlook Hines’ outstretched hand, leaving her visibly uncomfortable.

As Trump moved past, Hines was seen pursing her lips and fluttering her hand in the air before giving the President a pat on the shoulder as he continued greeting other attendees, including UFC host Joe Rogan. Kennedy seemed to laugh off the apparent oversight.

Not to be deterred, Hines quickly recovered from the moment by warmly greeting Trump’s granddaughter Kai Trump, who accompanied the president to the well-attended sporting event.

According to reports, President Trump may have made amends later in the evening, as photos circulating online show him holding Hines’ hand while engaged in conversation with both her and Secretary Kennedy.

The apparent snub may have roots in past political differences. When Kennedy endorsed Trump during the 2024 Presidential Election, Hines reportedly made it clear that she supported her husband but not necessarily Trump. However, following the election, Page Six reported that Hines was spotted at Mar-a-Lago and appeared to be “fitting in well” with Trump’s circle.

“Cheryl was talking to everyone, including Donald Trump,” an insider said at the time, suggesting a warming of relations between the actress and the president.

The UFC 314 appearance continues Trump’s tradition of attending major UFC events, where he typically receives a ceremonial entrance and enthusiastic reception from the crowd.
