Power Slap Goes from $30M a Year to Free Streaming on YouTube

In a major shift for the growing sport of competitive slapping, Dana White announced Monday that Power Slap will be moving to YouTube following a significant marketing partnership with cryptocurrency firm VeChain.

The announcement marks the end of Power Slap’s relationship with Rumble, where events were previously broadcast at a cost of $30 million per year. The new deal with VeChain, reported by Forbes to be worth $76 million over six years, will enable Power Slap events to be streamed live and free on YouTube.

This effectively means Powerslap is getting around $12M per year – less than half of what Rumble was paying.

“I wanted to let everyone know that Vechain is the new title partner of Power Slap. Vechain will power Power Slap events, they are a world-leading public blockchain platform, and for the first time ever, I’m happy to announce that Power Slap events will be live and free on YouTube,” White stated.

The Power Slap founder took to social media to celebrate the partnership, describing it as “One of the most BAD A*S deals ever done in the history of sports.”

The strategic move to YouTube represents a significant evolution in Power Slap’s distribution strategy. White expressed confidence in the decision, telling Forbes, “You know who I like to bet on? Me. We own everything, and we control everything. We are basically creating our own destiny.”

This partnership with VeChain, a prominent player in the blockchain technology space, signals a new chapter for the sport as it seeks to expand its global reach through YouTube’s massive platform.
