Police confirms there are multiple victims of child abuser who Cain Velasquez tried to maim

Cain Velasquez just appeared at his pre-trial hearing on Monday.

At the court date a number of police officers took the stand to recount events that led to the arrest of former UFC heavyweight champion.

The most significant part of the hearing was when Velasquez attorney Mark Geragos cross-examined officer Nathaniel Rodriguez.

Officer Rodriguez tesitified that Cain Velasquez was courteous and helpful during his detention and claimed that Harry Goularte had abused his kid at Patty’s Daycare. Additionally, Velasquez’s assertion that there were other victims was corroborated by Officer Rodriguez.

Geragos had hinted at this in earlier remarks. However, this is the first time that this has been confirmed in a judicial proceeding.

Since his arrest, Velasquez has been held without bail.

On November 14th, Harry Goularte will show up in court for a pre-trial hearing about the alleged abuse of Cain Velasquez’s son. Goularte has entered a not guilty plea to the charge of performing indecent acts with a minor under the age of 14.

The Velasquez family also filed a civil lawsuit against Goularte in addition to the criminal case that he was facing.

The case is seeking damages from Goularte as well as his mother Patricia Goularte and her company Patty’s Childcare. It was filed in California’s Santa Clara County.

The abuse is said to have occurred in 2021 and 2022. The petition also names Goularte’s stepfather Paul Bender and all daycare personnel as additional people who need to be held accountable.
