Plot twist? Dana White’s unauthorized biography details another domestic violence incident

Dana White is in the center of a well publicized controversy. White was in Mexico, celebrating New Years eve with his wife when the two got into a physical conflict.

In the video, White was seen getting slapped by his wife at which point he retaliated by slapping her and then either slapping or shoving her before other parties got involved.

In the fall out from the incident, both White and his wife gave statements to TMZ detailing that this was an isolated case and a private matter.

“You’ve heard me say for years, ‘There’s never ever an excuse for a guy to put his hands on a woman,’ and now here I am on TMZ talking about it.” – White offered.

White’s wife went on to release a separate statement:

“Dana and I have been married for almost 30 years. To say this is out of character for him is an understatement — nothing like this has ever happened before.”

But there’s reason to suspect this isn’t exactly right. Dana White’s mother, June White, released two books about Dana White. One titled ‘Dana White – King of MMA’ and another called ‘Through a mother’s eyes’.

In the book, June goes on to detail a lot of questionable things about White and his relationships with women but perhaps none more damning than the following paragraph:

“Dana and his wife honeymooned in Hawaii after their wedding. When they
returned to Las Vegas from the honeymoon, Dana had one of the worst black eyes I’ve
ever seen. It was horrifying.”

” When he first came home from his honeymoon, he told everyone he had jumped on the bed at the hotel, overshot the bed, and hit the bedside table. I knew that wasn’t true, I can tell when he’s lying, and later he told me what had really happened. He said his new wife blindsided him with a vase or a lamp, knocking him unconscious and splitting his eye open.”

” The hotel staff called an ambulance to take him to the emergency room, where he received stitches to close the gash just above his eye. If the cut had been any lower, he would have lost his eye. This type of behavior goes on constantly.”

“They are always fighting, and she is the physical abuser. Money sometimes does not fix everything, but then, some things just cannot be fixed.”

Later on she went on to detail:

“I can’t stand to be in an atmosphere of constant fighting and the stress it creates
for everyone. People who create those situations are selfish and inconsiderate, and it
was obvious Anne could care less about anyone else. I cannot stand the thought of
spending time in a house where everyone is fighting and miserable, that was Dana and
Anne’s house. How sad, they seem to have everything, (that money can buy) and they
are two miserable people. ”

It’s worth noting that White and his mother weren’t in good standing when she published the book.

The same book went on to detail that White had an unusually close relationship with his sister in-law.

“He makes Tiger look like a choirboy. I have news for my son: not all women are crazy. Between your wife and your sister-in-law (he calls her his second wife, and I won’t even go down that road), you’ve just become so used to women who are mean and nasty in your life that you think it’s normal.”

The book was published in 2011. White has never publicly addressed many of the allegations from the book.
