Former UFC star and “Dancing with the Stars” finalist, Paige VanZant, is making waves once again as she prepares for her highly-anticipated return to the BKFC arena. Despite finding success in ventures outside of combat sports such as OnlyFans and modeling, VanZant’s decided to try her hand in the ring once again.
David Feldman, President of BKFC, recently addressed concerns regarding VanZant’s potential departure from the organization in a chat with MMA Fighting.
“I questioned it myself, but after talking to a few people on her team, I don’t think she’s moved on,” shared Feldman. “I believe she wants another shot. And I want to give her that opportunity. So, we’re definitely going to have at least one more run together.”
Feldman commended VanZant’s spirit and unwavering commitment, highlighting her impressive track record. Despite her 0-2 record in BKFC, he emphasized that VanZant always brings her A-game and consistently challenges herself in every bout.
“Paige always comes prepared to fight,” remarked Feldman. “Some may argue that she has lost twice, but those were two closely contested fights. She fought hard in both instances, pushing herself to the limit. She doesn’t need to fight another day in her life and can still live like a superstar. But she wants to push herself further.”
BKFC has been on a streak recently. The promotion managed to put on an interesting card headlined by Perry and former UFC champion Luke Rockhold. Following the Perry win, he got to face off with Conor McGregor who was there in the audience to promote his brands.
McGregor was game and reportedly stole the thunder from Cowboy Cerrone who was told Perry would be calling him out.
While VanZant is financially secure, BKFC seems to be one of the ways to really get paid. Chad Mendes previously outed the organization for paying him ‘more than UFC paid Francis Ngannou for last title defense’ ie upwards of $600,000.
VanZant last made headlines when she tried to get the trolls to back off regarding her recent weight gain. She appeared to be getting more chunky in the latest round of her OF promotional stills.
