Paddy Pimblett fakes handshake, hypes crowd at face off for UFC London

Paddy Pimblett has had a very busy day. Pimblett started off the weigh ins choosing to showcase his bottom to the media present – due to ‘fat shaming’ he claimed to have suffered in the time between his last bout and this weekend.

Rising UFC lightweight Paddy Pimblett ballooned to 205 lbs during his break. The Scouser star is known for his junk food binges. But despite the bad diet, he could drop back to the limit with relative ease, he even made it to featherweight back in his Cage Warriors days.

“For everyone who tried to fat-shame me and say I’d miss weight or f***ing pull out, here’s me a***,” Pimblett said before pulling down his shorts and showing his bum.

Afterwards he added:
“It was easy enough, only 11lb. He [Leavitt] looks rough, is he wearing make-up? I’ve been trying to get a look at him then but he won’t even look my direction, he’s a mad kid. I’m going to eat some pasta now and come in and punch a hole in his head, put him unconscious, that is exactly the gameplan. I’m going to put it on him, he thinks it’s going to be a grappling match and it’s not.”

But the mind games didn’t end there. Pimblett would go on to fake out a handshake during the ceremonial weigh ins.

The two rising lightweights will clash on the main card of UFC London this Saturday. In the main event, the hometown favorite Tom Aspinall will face Curtis Blaydes. And serving as the co-main attraction, Jack Hermansson will clash against Chris Curtis.
