Paddy Pimblett brands Jake Paul’s boxing ‘terrible’, says Tommy Fury was pretending he was awful beforehand

The recent boxing match between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia has been the talk of the town, and everyone seems to have an opinion on it.

UFC star Paddy Pimblett is the latest to offer his thoughts on the bout, and he is not holding back.

Paddy Pimblett believes that Tommy Fury outperformed Jake Paul throughout, which led to his split decision victory.

According to Pimblett, Fury intentionally boxed poorly in his previous outings.

“Tommy Fury was boxing bad against his last few opponents on purpose, know what I mean?”

Pimblett told TMZ Sports:

“Or Jake Paul is just a terrible boxer, even worse than I thought. I was giving him more credit than I thought he deserved. I thought it wasn’t a split decision, either. I thought it was a unanimous decision. Tommy won most rounds.”

Jake Paul has a long-standing feud with Paddy Pimblett, and the YouTuber even offered Pimblett one million dollars if he could win a five-round sparring session.

When asked if he would consider the challenge, Pimblett replied, “Yeah, if he wants to. I don’t give a f**k, I’ll spar with anyone.”

However, Pimblett is currently focusing on his business interests and has yet to undergo surgery for an ankle issue.

He plans to have the surgery in the first weeks of March and expects to make a return to the UFC ring towards the end of 2023.

Pimblett also plans to get married and doesn’t expect he’ll be back in UFC before October of 2023.

Previously he was criticized for treating his preparation as a ‘fat camp’ and not improving between opponents by Belal Muhammad and Joe Rogan.

“You know, I don’t like when someone gets by just they’re famous and they have a big personality and and everybody loves them. The problem with that is people are going to be rooting against him now in the next”

“And so now he’s going to go in there against someone and maybe he’s going to go in against someone who’s on another level, like, one more level up. And he’s going to be in trouble.”
