One FC Heavyweight interested in getting traded for Petr Yan

Current ONE heavyweight champion Arjan Bhullar is prepared to be traded for Petr Yan if he were to pursue interest in any such scenario.

The bout between Peter Yan and Sean O’Malley at UFC 280 last Saturday is still fresh in the minds of people. Although the action went back and forth, many spectators thought Yan performed better. Despite this, O’Malley won by a narrow margin.

Many people were astonished by the outcome, including Joe Rogan, Henry Cejudo and Khabib Nurmagomedov. However, Yan was the one who was most surprised. The former bantamweight champion criticized the judges on social media in the days after the competition.

Daniel Cormier started a rumor that Petr Yan is thinking of leaving UFC:

“And Ryan, a little inside baseball. Petr Yan is so disappointed in this decision Petr Yan is so disappointed in the decision against Aljo that I’m hearing word that this guy may want to look at something different down the line in terms of his career because he just does not feel like maybe the organization doesn’t have his back. It’s crazy.”

Bhullar, who just won the ONE Championship heavyweight championship in April, said he would leave the organization if he was financially incentivized.

If Arjan Bhullar joined the UFC, this would be his second tenure with the organization. He had a 3-1 record in the promotion until he departed in 2019. The decision was evidently successful since Bhullar has subsequently gone unbeaten in the ONE cage.

Bhullar also had a push and pull relationship with ONE FC – he had issues negotiating his contract this past spring. A lot of athletes in ONE FC begrudge them for not offering them enough bouts due to the fact there’s a smaller number of events not to mention there’s slim pickings for heavyweights.
