Oh no? Drake shares Big-Money Bet he made on Jose Aldo

Famous rapper Drake is known as a terrible bettor. Despite putting big money on the line, he almost never gets his predictions right. This provided the core fact underlying the myth of the ‘Drake Curse’ which will affect whoever he picked to win.

Even thought the ‘Drake Curse’ was strong in the past – he recently appeared to ‘turn it around’ when he was betting on fellow athletes sponsored by the same betting house. Drake had recently won bets on Israel Adesanya (against Cannonier) and Barstool duo Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann.

This time, Drake’s wager on UFC 278 mirrors that of Israel Adesanya, “coincidentally” at the same betting house again.

Screenshots he and Adesanya post all prominently feature the place where the bets were placed – and were likely a paid promotion.

While it may seem like the singer is risking personal wealth – it’s more than likely the company he’s advertising is footing the bill.

On Stake’s official website there’s a page dedicated to Drake titled ‘Journey from a Player to a Partner’. It features a number of social media posts made by the singer promoting their business.

In the past, Drake has bet a lot on the underdog – backing both Masvidal, McGregor and Gaethje respectively but the Jose Aldo situations is strange.

Former champion opened as a favorite but is now an underdog which is almost unheard of in the UFC.

Drake put approximately $239,000 on Jose Aldo to win against Merab Dvalishvili in their bantamweight matchup. The match will take place at the UFC 278 event.

Drake could ‘win’ as much as $516,000 if Aldo triumphs.

Aldo has some of the finest takedown defense the sport has ever seen. On the other hand, Dvalishvili has recently utilized his wrestling to win.

Aldo is still among the top competitors in the world, despite the fact that his prime is likely behind him.
