Colby Covington would have us believe fake news is responsible for the belief that his jaw was broken in the Usman fight. And to Colby’s credit the X ray photo that was circling around the web in fact wasn’t his.
One sherdog user managed to find the exact copy without his name on it on a popular medical website.
But the rumor started in the first place when Covington shared

Reliable source just told me Colby Covington’s jaw is broken. 100%. Had a scan at the hospital. Tough dude.

And now there’s an official confirmation:
Colby Covington did suffer a jaw fracture from his first bout against champion Kamaru Usman back at UFC 245 in 2019.
This is straight from the Nevada Athletic Commission medical suspensions obtained by MMAjunkie.
