Nurmagomedov brothers request Javier Mendez send “crazy” Khabib back to Russia

Members of American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) gym hilariously begged Javier Mendez to send Khabib back to Russia. Those members include UFC debutant Umar Nurmagomedov as well as Usman Nurmagomedov. Both can be seen in the video saying they couldn’t follow Khabib’s merciless training.

Khabib Nurmagomedov retired with a perfect record consisting of 29-0. ‘The Eagle’ has always dominated his opponents and has only lost two rounds in the UFC. Khabib left the UFC in 2020 following the death of his father Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.

Like most MMA retirees, Khabib Nurmafomedov is still involved with MMA. The former lightweight champion has been focusing his career as a promoter of Eagle FC, an MMA promotion. In December 2020, he bought the Gorilla Fighting Championship (GFC) and renamed it.

Khabib also does some coaching in his old gym, the AKA gym, based in San Jose, California. He is currently there and recently had a sparring session with former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold. Meanwhile, the rest of the members felt overwhelmed by Khabib’s relentless training.

AKA gym founder Javier Mendez took to his social media account to share what’s going on in his gym when Khabib Nurmagomedov is around. In the video, the members can be seen soaked in sweat and wouldn’t stop calling Khabib ‘crazy’.

“English and training session with Bully Coach [Khabib Nurmagomedov] it’s a hate relationship between him & the Fighters. Some want to buy him a plane ticket back home. Can’t believe I get paid to do this.” Mendez wrote in the caption.

The American Kickboxing Academy procured a lot of remarkable fighters that managed to win UFC championships. Such as Daniel Cormier, BJ Penn, Cain Velasquez, Luke Rockhold, and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Umar Nurmagomedov had his promotional debut in March against Patrik Pietila. He got his opponent locked in a rear-naked choke and won the fight in the last minute of the first round. As for Luke Rockhold, the 37-year-old will return to the octagon to face Paulo Costa in a middleweight bout at UFC 278.
