A concerning situation has emerged around UFC veteran Nick Diaz‘s social media presence, with his longtime coach Cesar Gracie issuing a public warning about the fighter’s compromised Instagram account.
Gracie took to social media platform X to alert fans about the unauthorized access to Diaz’s official Instagram account, revealing that the situation has been ongoing for an extended period. According to the coach, Diaz’s former girlfriend has gained illegal control of the account and has been operating it without permission.

“Nick’s Instagram account [has] been hacked for some time, and he’s attempting to get back control,” Gracie stated in his warning post. “Mainly, Nick’s former girlfriend has been illegally in control of his account for some time. Please do not donate or support anything this account is doing at this time.”
The warning comes amid Diaz’s current rehabilitation efforts, adding another layer of complexity to an already challenging period for the former Strikeforce welterweight champion. Recovery coach Jose Garcia has also weighed in on the situation, supporting claims that the account has been under unauthorized control.

The woman at the center of these allegations has responded forcefully to the accusations, denying any wrongdoing in her management of the account. She maintains that Diaz explicitly instructed her to maintain control of his social media presence during his absence.
“Why would you guys get my man’s account? Like y’all took his gym,” she wrote in response to Garcia’s Instagram post. “That’s what he told me anyways, specifically told me to hold sh*t down until he gets back. Nick can have his account when he’s free.”

Her response hints at deeper tensions within Diaz’s inner circle, including references to disputes over his Stockton-based training facility, which has since been rebranded as the Nate Diaz Academy.

This latest controversy follows previous allegations made by the same woman, who had accused Diaz’s family of forcibly sending him to a rehabilitation facility in Mexico. Those claims were quickly disputed by Gracie, who shared training footage to demonstrate that Diaz was healthy and participating in his recovery program voluntarily.
The situation has drawn attention from fellow UFC fighters, including former middleweight champion Sean Strickland, who has expressed concern about the mental health challenges facing both Nick and his brother Nate Diaz. Strickland described witnessing significant emotional struggles in both brothers, characterizing their situation as particularly complex.
“Nick Diaz is different. The Diaz brothers are so mentally f-cked up… The level of depression and misery these guys live with is unreal,” Strickland wrote on X. “When I’m around them, I just feel bad for how miserable they are. He’s trying to get help.”

For now, Gracie’s warning remains clear: fans should avoid engaging with or supporting any activities promoted through Diaz’s Instagram account until the star regains proper control.
