Former UFC fighter Nick Diaz has announced a new partnership with OnlyFans following the cancellation of his scheduled bout at UFC on ABC 7 in Abu Dhabi. Diaz, who was set to face Vicente Luque in the co-main event, was forced to withdraw due to reported travel issues.
In a social media post, Diaz stated he would be sharing his training regimen and behind-the-scenes content on the platform, as well as announcing a new fight date and location. This move comes as uncertainty surrounds Diaz’s MMA future, with UFC CEO Dana White expressing doubts about seeing Diaz compete in 2024.
“I have no idea,” White said. “Not very (confident he fights this year).”
The cancellation of the Abu Dhabi event marks another setback for Diaz, who hasn’t competed since September 2021. His opponent, Luque, remains optimistic about rescheduling the matchup, potentially for August or September.
“I’m going to be on there showing all kinds of new techniques. I am a technician. I’ve got all kinds of cool technique I’m going to show to you, so make sure that you check me out. I’m also going to be announcing a new fight date. So subscribe now”- Diaz said in the video announcement.
Diaz’s partnership signals a new direction for the veteran, allowing him to connect directly with fans while his UFC future remains unclear. The platform, traditionally associated with adult content, has increasingly been used by athletes and celebrities to share exclusive content with subscribers.
Dillon Danis was among the first to react to this development – and many of the fans feel like he does. Danis left a comment saying: “Come on man smh”
Despite the fact he’s a household name in the MMA community, Diaz seems to be struggling financially. He’s been posting ads for his merch daily however it’s unclear if that has been lucrative for Diaz.
