NFL’s Travis Kelce Backs Jake Paul Over Mike Tyson In Viral Boxing Bout

Travis Kelce recently shared his thoughts on the highly anticipated Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson matchup scheduled for July. But he then quickly second-guessed his prediction, expressing doubts about whether the bout will end in a knockout.

Kelce made an appearance on the red carpet at the Kelce Jam Festival in Kansas City. The 34-year-old three-time Super Bowl champion offered his take on what is shaping up to be one of the summer’s biggest boxing events in Texas.

Sports journalist ‘The Schmo’ asked Kelce in his video: “Mike Tyson or Jake Paul? Who wins that one?”

Kelce was initially unsure of the fight date and responded, “Man, it’s going on right now, isn’t it?”

After being reminded that the match is actually on July 20, he made his choice clear. Kelce stated: “I’m taking the Cleveland kid even though Mike is… gaw-lee, I feel silly for saying that, but I’ll take Jake with the youth.”

When asked if he thinks Paul will secure a knockout victory, Kelce expressed uncertainty. “I don’t know about a knockout… Are they allowed to knock each other out?” he asked.

The Schmo confirmed that knockouts are permitted, calling it a “real fight.”

Kelce’s excitement grew, but he remained doubtful about a knockout outcome. He stated: “I don’t know about the knockout man. I’ve never seen Mike get knocked out.”

Mike Tyson is renowned for his knockout skills and has delivered numerous knockout victories during his career. However, he has also been on the receiving end of knockouts. Across his 58-bout career, Tyson suffered five knockout losses. Three of them occurred in title matches.

Adding to the hype, Tyson made headlines last week by making a provocative statement about Paul during a press conference. Tyson claimed that Paul gave him “an erection,” a comment that sparked considerable buzz. Additionally, Tyson referred to Paul as “fat.”

Currently, it seems like Tyson is continuing his rigorous training regimen in preparation for his match against Paul.
