Vittorio “Vito” Pirbazari, the muscular actor known for his role in the Netflix series “Dogs of Berlin,” has died at the age of 44, according to friends and family.
The bodybuilder’s death was confirmed by his friend Said Ibraham, who shared the news in an emotional Instagram video on Tuesday, April 1. In the video, Ibraham suggested that Pirbazari may have suffered a heart attack while exercising at the gym.
Just days before his passing, on March 30, Pirbazari had posted a health update on Instagram. In what would become his final social media post, he shared a selfie with the caption: “I haven’t been able to pull much exercise for the last 3 months, but I worked hard on my diet.”
In the same post, Pirbazari mentioned he was “trying intervals on the treadmill” but “taking it slowly” because his legs were “not 100% healed yet.” He emphasized that the most important thing was to “not give up.”
Beyond his role in “Dogs of Berlin,” Pirbazari had built a diverse career in German entertainment, appearing in the popular crime series “Tatort.” He was also well-known in fitness circles as a member of the YouTube fitness crew called “Hardgainer.”
Since the announcement of his death, tributes have flooded social media from shocked friends, family, and fans, celebrating his contributions to both fitness and entertainment.
