MMA legend Nate Diaz recently revealed his intense dedication to staying hydrated, disclosing that he keeps a remarkable 15 water bottles by his bed every night.
MMA star Nate Diaz has revealed that he paid close to $40,000 to resolve his legal dispute with Logan Paul following their altercation.
During an appearance on The HJR Podcast, Diaz discussed the incident where he choked Logan Paul, explaining,
“I was attacked. I just finished the attack.”
The UFC veteran maintained that he was merely defending himself in the situation.
“I’m a counter-fighter,” Diaz stated. “If you’re f***ing on me, I’m like, f*** you.”
Diaz explained that Paul did sue him over the incident, and while Diaz believed he was winning the legal battle, he ultimately decided to settle rather than continue fighting it in court.
“I was winning, but it was gonna just go forever and I was gonna pay more in lawyer fees. So I just ended up paying him 18K because my lawyer bills were up to 17K,” Diaz said.
In total, the incident cost him “like 30 grand.”
The fighter noted that he’s been sued numerous times throughout his career, joking that he likely holds “the record” for most lawsuits against an MMA fighter.
During the podcast, Diaz also discussed his future plans, including a potential return to the UFC and his interest in a trilogy fight with Conor McGregor, which he said has “got to happen.” He also revealed he turned down playing the villain role in the “Roadhouse” remake that eventually went to McGregor.
Diaz, who hasn’t fought in the UFC since 2022, indicated he’d be open to competing for the BMF (Baddest Motherf***er) belt, which he originally helped create, mentioning potential interest in facing fighters like Max Holloway.
