Nate Diaz renews attack on Jake Paul after meeting his father: “The s***head family”

Nate Diaz is not pleased to have met Jake Paul’s father.

Diaz is the latest target for Jake Paul who is actively hoping to cash in on his notoriety in the combat sports world. Paul is currently in negotiations to box either Tommy Fury or UFC vet Mike Perry in February but he already has his sights set on Nate Diaz.

Diaz parted ways with UFC late last year after a UFC 279 showing against Tony Ferguson. Diaz has been adamant he wants to be a free agent and has refused to sign a UFC extension countless times.

UFC appears to be still interested in making Diaz vs Conor McGregor III a reality but Diaz is displeased with the timing and had repeatedly no interest.

UFC and Diaz are on cordial terms and his management is interested in fielding all offers.

Paul recently signed a deal with MMA promotion PFL and proposed a two-fight deal to the Stockton native – with one outing in boxing and one in MMA.

Diaz had teased about a move to a Japanese promotion Rizin since.

In a renewed attack on Paul, he tweeted a video of himself meeting Paul’s dad Greg with the caption: “Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. The s***head family.”
“I just wanted to say I admire the f*** out of you. I love the way you fight and hopefully you are going to be fighting Jake. We watch you and love your fight style, take it easy man.” – Greg Paul told Diaz.

All was good between the two before Diaz realized that Greg Paul said the following in a podcast appearance:

“Jake will knock the p*** out of Nate Diaz. Nate Diaz is a punk and his record is mediocre.”

In the video Diaz can be pictured ringside at Paul’s win over UFC legend Anderson Silva last year and the pair shook hands. Later on Diaz got in a scuffle at the event with a member of Paul’s entourage and was subsequently escorted out.
