34 year old MMA veteran charged with murder at Casino Resort

A former professional mixed martial artist from Philadelphia has been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing of a man. The corpse was discovered in a room at the Ocean Casino Resort last week.

According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, Andrew Osborne was detained in Philadelphia after an investigation into the stabbing on Friday afternoon. NJ101 reports.

Authorities said Egg Harbor Township resident Brian Wilkinson died at 1:30 p.m. after being stabbed many times. According to Wilkinson’s obituary, his death was “tragic and sudden.”

According to an affidavit of probable cause from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office detailing murder and weapons allegations against the Philadelphia man, Osborne reportedly stabbed Wilkinson in the head and neck in Wilkinson’s room and then fled wearing his victim’s shoes and clothes.

On September 22, at about 7:30 p.m., Wilkinson checked in himself. At about 10 p.m., he was last seen on surveillance footage heading into his room. The next day, at about 1:30 pm, his corpse was discovered. The two men’s relationship is still unknown.

Osbourne last participated in an MMA match at CES 45 in August 2017. He left the profession with a 7-11-1 record.

Osbourne competed in Pennsylvania for a number of different regional promotions. At the World Series of Fighting, where he was submitted by Ozzy Dugulubgov, who is the owner of the Revolt Fighting League today.

Osbourne is being detained in Pennsylvania while awaiting extradition to New Jersey. According to reports, the inquiry is active and continuing.
