MMA social media personality MMA Guru sparked speculation online after posting a claim that Nate Diaz may have experienced an involuntary physical reaction during his bout against Mike Perry at MVP MMA’s Rousey vs. Carano card in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
The post, shared to social media in the early hours of Sunday morning, accumulated hundreds of thousands of views within hours of going up.
“As a Nate Diaz fan, I really hope this lead isn’t true,” MMA Guru wrote. “But I’m hearing reports from someone who worked security outside Diaz’s locker room that Nate Diaz poo’d his pants during the Mike Perry match on Netflix. Leads say it was a factor in why the match was stopped in the corner.”

The speculation only intensified in the replies to MMA Guru’s post, with users sharing clips and screenshots they believed supported the allegation.
A user shared an image appearing to show brownish stains on a tool in Diaz’s corner, writing: “Maybe, I can’t tell.”

The allegation has not been verified, and no official statement has been issued by Diaz’s camp, MVP MMA, or Netflix.
The bout itself, billed as a co-main event on a card that also featured strong performances from Salahdine Parnasse and Francis Ngannou, ended when Diaz’s corner threw in the towel. The official result was a TKO victory for Mike Perry via corner stoppage at 5:00 of round two in the welterweight division at 170 lbs (77.1 kg).
From the opening bell, Perry established command with relentless body work and targeted combinations. Diaz worked his jab early and the pair clinched, with Perry connecting on two elbows in succession.
There were moments of life from Diaz, including a throw that briefly shifted the momentum, but Perry regained the upper hand almost immediately. His heavy body strikes took a visible toll, though Diaz managed to land two or three meaningful blows near the final minute of the first round.
Round two saw Diaz double up on his jab and land a right hook to the side of Perry’s head, but Perry responded with uppercuts and combinations that opened significant cuts on Diaz’s face. Diaz was staggering but refused to go down, even as Perry took his back and pursued a standing rear choke.
Perry pressed forward with knees and elbows, and a significant knee late in the round sent Diaz to the canvas. He survived to the bell, but the referee had already been overheard calling time so Diaz could be assessed by the ringside physician. Whatever the review revealed, it was ultimately Diaz’s own corner that made the decision, tossing the towel.
MMA Guru had been broadcasting live reactions throughout the evening, and his commentary now carries an uncomfortable resonance in light of his later post. As Perry’s body attack intensified, Guru blurted out mid-broadcast, “I’m going to poo my pants… somebody get me a toilet paper.”
As Perry methodically worked through the second round, Guru noted: “He’s dragging him into the match. He’s going to take him to round three. He loves this.”
By the time the corner stoppage arrived, Guru was fully behind the decision. “He was about to get irreparable damage there from Mike Perry. That was a smart move,” he said. “Glad they called it. Glad Nate threw in the towel.”
He was equally direct in assessing Diaz’s limitations as a current competitor. “When he loses it’s embarrassing because he just has no pop in any punch and throws his noodle arms out there… and hopes that you gas out,” Guru said.
The physical toll of a long career in combat sports also came into focus. “It’s all the scar tissue over the years, man. You can’t keep taking it.”
Guru summed up the night without hesitation: “One of the most one-sided a*s-whippings I have seen in recent years.” He added a warmer note as well: “It was such a good feeling. We don’t see matchups like this anymore.”
As of publication, neither Diaz nor his representatives had publicly addressed MMA Guru’s allegation.
