McGregor picks Nate Diaz against Jake Paul: ‘He slaps the head off him’

Conor McGregor was in Las Vegas for the Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia boxing match, where he gave a motivational speech to Garcia after his defeat in the seventh round.

While in town, McGregor was approached outside a casino and asked about the upcoming Nate Diaz vs. Jake Paul bout, which is scheduled for August 5th.

McGregor, who knows a thing or two about losing major battles, having suffered a defeat at the hands of Nate Diaz in 2016 and losing two straight  to his biggest rival Dustin Poirier, gave his opinion on the Diaz vs. Paul.

“I think Nate Diaz slaps the head off him,” McGregor said. “And I look forward to seeing it.”

While many MMA stars have already picked Diaz to win, McGregor is not planning to attend the event.

“Jaysus, I’ll probably be in the Lamborghini off the coast of Sicily,” he said when asked if he would be attending the event.

Diaz has been making headlines recently, not just for his upcoming boxing match with Paul, but also for his involvement in a scrap outside a club.

Diaz was seen putting his hands up, ready for anything, before grabbing a man who looked like Jake Paul and submitting him with what appeared to be a standing D’arce or modified guillotine.

McGregor spoke out on the video of the incident, claiming he could “mince” Diaz in the clinch nowadays.

However, regardless of McGregor’s opinions, all eyes will be on Nate Diaz and Jake Paul leading up to their boxing bout, and the world just might be shocked at the outcome.
