Mark Zuckerberg still interested in MMA contest in the UFC After Attending UFC 300

MMA enthusiasts are abuzz with the prospect of witnessing Mark Zuckerberg step into the octagon. The recent culmination of UFC 300 has left a significant mark in the annals of MMA history. The event lived up to the immense anticipation it had generated.

From the first bout in the early preliminaries to the main event showdown, the event held both spectators at home and attendees at the venue in rapt attention. Among the notable attendees was Meta’s founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg.

A regular fixture at UFC events, the 39-year-old tech mogul is often spotted ringside alongside Dana White. Zuckerberg recently shared glimpses of his experience at UFC 300 on Instagram, where he crossed paths with renowned fighters such as Alex Pereira, Max Holloway, and Charles Oliveira backstage before their respective bouts.

In response to a comment speculating about his potential inclusion in a UFC card, Zuckerberg hinted at a future debut.

A comment on his post by Pubity read: “When’s Dana putting you on a card??”

Zuckerberg replied by saying: “Want to do it when my knee is fully recovered”

Currently undergoing rehabilitation for a torn ACL sustained in November 2023, Zuckerberg remains resolute about realizing his ambition of stepping into the MMA arena professionally. Despite the setback, his determination to make his mark in the realm of combat sports remains unwavering.

He said: “I was training for a competitive MMA fight early next year, but now that’s delayed a bit. Still looking forward to doing it after I recover.”

That objective remains the same for Zuckerberg, who is committed to make his professional MMA debut five months following his operation. It will be fascinating to see if it occurs in the UFC or in any other organization.

Zuckerberg’s interest in MMA was further fueled by a past online exchange with Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk. Both men previously expressed willingness to face off in the octagon. While initially perceived as banter, UFC President Dana White’s acknowledgment of their seriousness added credence to the possibility. Although the proposed bout never came to fruition, Zuckerberg’s recent endeavors suggest a resurgence of his martial arts ambitions.
