The looksmaxxing community is known for unconventional theories about male attractiveness, from bone modification techniques to complex supplement regimens, but one belief has started gaining traction: the “dog pill.”
On a recent episode of the Jack Neel podcast, Drago, a prominent figure in the looksmaxxing world, was asked to name the most toxic belief circulating in the community. Without hesitation, he pointed to the dog pill.
When pressed to explain, Drago described it as a widespread anecdotal belief among forum members that women who own large dogs are “pretty likely to have like some sort of s*xual intercourse with them or get very physically touchy more so than with like smaller dogs or even men with their dog.”
The belief, according to Drago, extends beyond dogs to horses as well. “You should actually look out for women that have male horses,” he said, pointing to online videos and comment sections as supporting evidence.
He also referenced search volume data from around 2004 to 2006 as additional material forum members have cited, though he admitted the sourcing was unclear.
Host Jack Neel was not hiding his disbelief. “This is the craziest thing I’ve heard all day,” he responded.
Drago was upfront about the lack of solid data behind the theory. “I wouldn’t say it’s been shown in studies, but it is anecdotally frequent,” he said.
Despite raising the topic himself, Drago’s tone leaned more toward calling it out than endorsing it. Naming it alongside other problematic forum ideas like the “ethnic tax,” he framed the dog pill as a clear example of fringe thinking that circulates in looksmaxxing spaces without credible foundation.
The looksmaxxing community began in niche online forums before gaining mainstream visibility in recent years. For Drago, the dog pill sits at the far end of a spectrum where self-improvement conversation gets mixed up with poorly sourced speculation about female behavior.
