In a podcast appearance with Kyle Kingsbury, controversial social media figure known as Liver King addressed the ongoing scrutiny surrounding his steroid use, making a crucial distinction that challenges the narrative that has dominated headlines for months.
During the lengthy discussion, Liver King clarified that he was not taking multiple st**oids as widely reported, but rather a single st**oid along with growth hormone and peptides. “I wasn’t on all those things at one time,” he explained. “Really spend $11,000 a month on ste**ids. Oh, I’m sorry, $11,000 a month on a peptide and $100 a month not on ste**ids, on st**oid.”
He revealed that his testosterone cream costs approximately “$50 a month, maybe $100 a month,” a far cry from the thousands allegedly spent on PEDs.
The controversy began when Liver King hired a coach known as “vigorous sleeve” after struggling with hormonal issues and brain fog. “I my hormones were like a old person,” he admitted. When he couldn’t get help from another prominent figure in the fitness space, he turned to this coach, paying him for guidance before their professional relationship deteriorated.
Working with hormone specialist Denise Rex Road, whom he described as “an actual angel” who also works with high-profile clients including Joe Rogan, Liver King was attempting to address legitimate health concerns. “She deserves all of the credit,” he said of Rex Road’s expertise in functional medicine.
The admission came after what he called a “vigorous circus clown” exposed private communications about his hormone protocol. Rather than denying everything, Liver King chose to acknowledge the truth about his testosterone and growth hormone use, though he maintains the scope was far narrower than portrayed.
“The truth gets told. The bill comes due,” he reflected. “I wasn’t on all those things at one time. All that money that’s spent on steroids is all that money spent on growth hormone because the testosterone cream that I have in here, that testosterone cream is like $50 a month, maybe $100 a month.”
He explained that his initial denials about s**roid use came from a desire to protect his message about ancestral living principles. “The message is what matters. The message is what matters. I don’t matter. It’s the message,” he insisted.
Despite the controversy tarnishing his reputation, Liver King maintains that the core principles he promoted – sun exposure, cold therapy, eating organ meats, and other ancestral practices – remain valid regardless of his personal pharmaceutical use. He has since retired the “Liver King” character to focus on his family and what he calls “higher swords.”
