Liver King challenges Joe Rogan to a grappling match, promises not to tap

Brian “Liver King” Johnson has issued an unconventional challenge to podcast host Joe Rogan for a grappling match, delivering his proposal in a rambling, intense video that has left viewers questioning his mental state.

Exercise scientist Dr. Mike Israetel recently delivered a scathing critique of Liver King‘s latest antics, revealing a man who appears to have lost all connection to reality, health, and basic human decency.

Dr. Mike observed what appears to be manic behavior. When analyzing Liver King’s rambling speech patterns, Dr. Mike states: “I believe in diagnosing mania this is called tangential speech where it just goes off into nothing becomes completely chaotic.”

The analysis reveals increasingly desperate attention-seeking behavior, including consuming rotted eggs aged for seven months. Dr. Mike categorizes this as “clearly attention seeking” behavior rather than any legitimate health practice.

The social media personality, known for his raw meat diet and primal lifestyle advocacy, appeared visibly agitated as he directly addressed Rogan in what can only be described as an unhinged challenge.

“I’m hoping that you, Joe Rogan, are thinking, I’m gonna choke that motherf**ker out, lights out,” Johnson declared in the video, his words tumbling out in a stream-of-consciousness style that immediately raised red flags among his followers.

“And I kinda hope that if you win, that’s how it happens.
Because like, to wake up from that dream — that’s a good feeling.
And then anything else that you can break on me, break it on me.
I hope that you won’t feel me tap — that’s never happening. Tapping.
Because I have something actually to fight for.
Actually — that’s my family.”

Johnson’s challenge comes with peculiar conditions that reveal either supreme confidence or concerning detachment from reality. He explicitly stated he won’t be preparing for the potential matchup, saying “I already thought about my game plan, I don’t have a plan, I’m not gonna train, I’m not gonna train.” Despite this lack of preparation, he emphasized his readiness to face Rogan immediately, adding “I’m ready whenever you’re ready, if it’s tomorrow, that’ll be great.”

The fitness influencer’s motivation appears deeply personal, as he framed the challenge around family honor.

Perhaps most concerning was Johnson’s apparent welcome of potential injury, stating he hopes Rogan “won’t feel me tap, that’s never happening, tapping” and encouraging the podcaster to “break” whatever he can during the match. This concerning attitude toward his own safety has prompted many followers to express worry about his wellbeing.

The challenge has garnered mixed reactions across social media platforms. MMA analyst Chael Sonnen amplified the story by polling his followers about their interest level in such a matchup, receiving responses ranging from enthusiastic support to complete dismissal. Some fans rated their interest as high as 8-9 out of 10, while others questioned whether the spectacle would be worth watching at all.

Critics have pointed out the significant skill disparity between the two men. Rogan holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has decades of martial arts experience, while Johnson’s background lies primarily in bodybuilding and fitness influencing. One social media user bluntly assessed the potential outcome: “Joe will finish him in under 1 minute.”

The video has sparked widespread concern about Johnson’s mental health, with numerous commenters suggesting he may be experiencing some form of psychological crisis. Comments ranged from requests for welfare checks on his family to observations that he appears to be having a breakdown. The erratic nature of his delivery and the intensity of his demeanor have left many questioning whether this challenge represents a genuine sporting proposal or a cry for help.

Johnson concluded his challenge with a cryptic reference to donations, stating that whatever Rogan would “pay” would be donated to “good and true,” though the meaning behind this statement remains unclear.

Joe Rogan has not publicly responded to the challenge, and he likely won’t. Previously Rogan was very irked at attempts from Johnson to get on the podcast and had talked to Derek of MPMD about exposing Johnson’s PED use.
