Larry Wheels Reveals He Started PEDs At 17 And NEVER Came Off

On a recent episode of the Hodgetwins Podcast, Larry Wheels opened up about his long history with PDs, revealing that he started using roids at just 17 years old and has never fully stopped since.

Reflecting on his early experiences, Wheels admitted that his mindset at the time was reckless.

“When I first started at 17, that’s when I experienced all the sides because I thought more was better,” he said.

Now 31 years old, Wheels confirmed that he has remained on some form of PED protocol for the last 14 years. “I really never stopped since. I’m 31 years old now,” he added.

Wheels also detailed what his first cycle looked like, explaining that he jumped straight into heavy compounds without much understanding of the side effects.

“My first cycle was like 750 Test, T-bol, and Tren with Halotestin,” he recalled. At the time, he said he failed to recognize how drastically they were affecting his mental state. “I remember being like, why am I angry all the time? And then I was getting so many gains. I was like, it can’t be the ste**ids,” he said.

Discussing the aftermath of those early cycles, Wheels explained that coming off the PEDs created its own problems. “When I came off, I realized I was the a**hole. I was irritable and snappy and I didn’t realize how it came off,” he admitted.

Over the years, Wheels said he changed the way he approaches PEDs like Trenbolone, particularly after experiencing severe emotional side effects from extended use. “Last time I used Tren was for only like two weeks, a year ago,” he said. “I like to now use it in like short bursts for a competition rather than using it for months on end, which is what I did in the beginning.”

He went on to explain why shorter Trenbolone Acetate cycles work better for him personally. “With Tren Acetate I found like one to two weeks is all I need to peak with size, strength, fullness and get what I’m looking for out of it,” Wheels said. “So using it beyond that point you’re just maintaining what I gained in the first couple of weeks.”

Wheels also opened up about the darker mental struggles he experienced during longer cycles, revealing that prolonged Tren use severely impacted his emotional health.

“I would have these long long cycles, like Tren for four months once,” he said. “I was s**cidal at times, just like I would have these crazy mood swings. Have a great workout, but then outside of the gym, outside of my iron therapy, just super depressed and irritable and just like ha ting everything.”

As for his current approach, Wheels said he now keeps his baseline protocol relatively moderate. “Throughout the year I’m using like 250 to 300 milligrams of test, some Anavar, and that’s it,” he explained.

However, he admitted that he still occasionally increases the dosage temporarily when preparing for specific goals. “For a couple of weeks I’ll add in like everything and then I’ll get where it needs to be,” he said.

When asked whether he would ever completely stop using PEDs, Wheels gave a blunt answer. “I’m never coming off,” he said. “I think if the doctor told me you would pass away, I would just accept my fate. I would find another way. There’s no way.”
