KSI denies reports he’s planning tag team boxing with Mayweather and Pacquiao

YouTube sensation KSI has put an end to rumors about a potential tag-team boxing match. There was a report going around that claimed he would team up with Floyd Mayweather to box against Manny Pacquiao and Salt Papi.

KSI is a prominent figure in the influencer-boxing scene, having popularized the trend with his matches against Joe Weller and Logan Paul in 2018. He recently returned to the ring after a two-year hiatus, and there have been rumors surrounding his potential future opponents.

Earlier this month, Happy Punch boxing promotions posted a poster on Twitter, announcing a tag-team match between KSI and Mayweather versus Pacquiao and Salt Papi. This sparked excitement among fans, who eagerly awaited confirmation of the bout’s validity.

KSI’s manager, Mams Taylor, claimed that he had been working on the event. However, KSI’s subsequent tweet threw the entire ordeal into question, stating that he would only be boxingone opponent on May 13th.

KSI officially addressed the tag-team rumors in a YouTube video on March 21st, confirming that the bout would not take place. He said, “It’s not happening. I’m gonna dead it now. It’s not happening, and we’ll leave it at that.”

While it is unclear whether the match was ever truly in the works, given Taylor’s post, it is now evident that it will not come to fruition despite fans’ wishes.

In other news, KSI recently issued an apology to former Misfits Boxing host Wade Plem for calling him out over his comments on Jake Paul versus Tommy Fury 2.
