Khabib Nurmagomedov fires back at Tony Ferguson following UFC 274 media tour jibes

Khabib Nurmagomedov may have retired undefeated but Tony Ferguson seems to be able to get under his skin even after all this time.

Ferguson appears to have been dealt a short hand in the pecking order in the UFC. Ferguson was a very dominant athlete but his peak coincided with the peaks of Nurmagomedov – and McGregor.

Nurmagomedov’s contract is among the largest ever confirmed UFC contracts thanks to the fact Nurmagomedov was helpful in facilitating UFC’s Abu Dhabi cards.

But even after all this time the two can’t burry the hatchet – after all Ferguson nonstop posts about Nurmagomedov.

During the UFC 274 press tour, Ferguson stopped by to talk with Daniel Cormier. Cormier is a teammate and a friend of Nurmagomedov’s which is possibly why Khabib opted to comment.

“Last three years, Tony has not won a single round in the UFC. leave me alone and focus on yourself stupid guy.”  Khabib Nurmagomedov answered Ferguson’s latest jibe.

During a recent interview Nurmagomedov talked about a potential return – and named only one name that would motivate him to take that step.

” when I hear GSP (Georges St-Pierre) name, I want to go for a 10km run… So, you can throw any name, Charles Oliveira too, [it] doesn’t motivate me. Michael Chandler been knocked out a bunch of times. I’ve already run through RDA [Rafael dos Anjos], Justin [Gaethje], Conor [McGregor], and [Dustin] Poirier, but GSP really motivates me.”
